Wait on the Lord

One of the hardest things to do in life is to wait on the Lord.  We are always so busy.  I think the busy life starts when you first go to school.  And it doesn’t even stop at retirement.  We rush off to everywhere.

I remember when our daughter was at VCU.  Some nights she stayed up all night and rushed out in the morning to get to class.  That’s what we were taught:  rush to school, rush to work, rush through meals, and maybe rush to bed.  We are also taught to hurry at work.  There are deadlines to be met.  I have even rushed to church.  With all that rushing, we may neglect to spend time with God.  That time cannot be rushed.  Remember, we can’t develop well-rounded, strong characters on a diet of spiritual snacks.
